And from this juice  have I made delicious
jelly.
Now I have
24 jars of bramble jelly
25 jars of raspberry jelly
19 jars of red currant jelly
10 jars of black currant jelly
3 jars of red currant and raspberry
3 jars of rhubarb
3jars of amelanchier jelly....it taste very good.

What have you preserve?

  1. I love the photos of all those piled up jars filled with sweet goodies :) What a great job you did, Regina, and I'm sure all yoru jellies taste delicious.

We are picking berries at the moment, but put them directly into the freezer as we are going on vacation this weekend. When we come back I will start processing the berry harvest.

  6. Hi Regina! I have the very same juicer. Isn't it a wonderful device? Been busy making jam also. Right now I'm waiting for bread to rise to have with it. Will e-mail you later today, hopefully, when I have more time to write more. Here's a hug for you!

  8. Wow! That is a lot of jelly. You certainly have been busy!! We don't eat a lot of jelly at our house but I do like a little. I am trying to collect enough blackberrys and freeze till I get enough for some blackberry jam. It has turned cooler here finally!

  9. Hi again, Thanks for your information on the elderberry vinegar. Is your recipe on how to make the vinegar on the internet anywhere and also the recipe to use the elderberry vinegar to make the dressing? Do you use it for a fruit salad only? Thanks for your help. Nancy

  10. That should keep you going into the dark and cold months of winter. Just think you can open up a jar of sunshine when it's cold and grey outside!

  13. Hello, Regina

So many delicious things you've preserved! My mother used to do preserving. I bought myself a book of recipes but haven't tried making any yet. I really should try something.

  15. Hi Regin, that looks so good. I haven't got any fruit yet. The apple tree is filled, but it's not time yet for harvesting ; )
There are peaches on sale 500 gram 0.95 euro cents, so I think I will make some peach jam for hubby, he loves that ; )
I haven't got other fruit in the garden yet. The physalis is growing hard, so maybe it will give a good harvest.
Finally some zuchini's are forming. I can hardly wait ; )
    Have a great day.

  19. I love to have lots of jars stockpiled like that - it's very satisfying, isn't it?
I have a lot of courgettes at the moment so I will be making some courgette relish, soon - a family favourite :o)

  20. Wow, you have been busy, that lot should keep you going. I was hoping to make some strawberry jam but I haven't had a big enough harvest from my new strawberry bed. I may have to visit a pick your own farm.

  26. Busy you! Sadly, I've not canned a single thing in a single jar. :( Life has us busy starting our business, so just about everything has taken a back seat. Maybe next week...
