My Weekly Frugal Accomplishments

Hello my friends,

last week I bought 10 packages penne noodles for 3,50 €

Grated mozzarella was also offered 200 gram for 0,88 €,
I have 10 packages purchased and frozen. I use shredded
mozzarella for pizza.

Another great deal was 3000gram carrots for 1,00€.

Than I discovered in a corner of the supermarket reduced
pansies for a very low price..... 10pieces of pansies for 0,39€
I bought several packets. .

Oranges where 1,49€ a kilo,so I bought several packets(16pounds).

I made bread,scones,rhubarb-cake,spaghetti,lentil soup.

I hung my laundry out on the clothlines.

Cut roses and removed the leaves from the flower beds.

Planting pansies in pots.

I sat on the bench, listening to the birds.

What did you this week to save money and enjoy life?

  1. They may sound like frugal accomplishments but how rich those simple things really are. I think you have discovered the joy of real living friend. Have a blessed day.

  2. You certainly picked up some bargains. The pansies will look fabulous once they're flowering. I bought some pansies on a buy one pack get one pack free offer this weekend, I shall pot up my hanging baskets with them.

  3. Sounds like you got a lot of wonderful things done. Simple is wonderful!

  4. You have been very busy! I have delayed a trip from home for some shopping until tomorrow when I will be able to take care of more than one thing.

  5. You sound like you had a rewarding week! I like your little welcome sign among the pansies. Your bargains are good...I love pizza!

  6. Isn't it fun to find bargains and make your budget stretch? The main thing I did this week to be frugal was to stay out of the grocery store completely and just use what we had in the pantry.

  7. Sounds like you found some great bargains.
I've been limiting my trips to town and got one of my flower beds weeded ~ that's enjoyable to me. :-)

  8. Hi Regina, Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. It sounds like you are doing a great job with your little bit of gardening!! We don't have a big yard but I love trying to grow things out there. I love saving money when I can but so far it seems gardening is costing me more than I save! lol But I will keep trying! Enjoy your pansies and time in your plants! Nancy

  9. Hi Regina,
your list looks like it made for a pleasant week. here's mine:
    Last week . . .
I cut flowers to bring into the house
baked bread, buns, cupcakes and cookies
packed a car picnic snack (coffee, cocoa, cookies, and raisins) for an excursion with my daughters, instead of buying drinks and snacks
I cleaned the deck furniture with vinegar and water
I started more seeds for my garden
I used coupons for freebies on my birthday

    Have a wonderful week!

  10. Hi Regina,

There is nothing better in life than to feel that sense of accomplishment in doing what we love. Homemaking is becoming a lost art where I is the simple things in life that are the most rewarding!
    ~God bless~ Lisa

  11. Hi Regina,
Wow you had some really good bargains, especially the cheese and the penne.
The oranges here were 1.89 for 2 kg, so not that expensive.
I got two boxes of laundry soap for free, because I bought some action products which I needed. I have 32 washings for free this way ; )
What a great price for the pansies and the pot looks wonderful. You have been very busy.
I am finally getting my energy back after the operation, so I am starting up things again.
    Have a great day.

  12. Hi Regina! I posted before but I think I don't click on the correct thing below to post! So I will try again. You had some good deals! And you have been busy in the kitchen. I like your little sign on the pansies!

  13. Hi, Regina! Sounds like you got some really good deals this week! I love saving money on groceries. I also hang my clothes out to dry on nice days. Today it is raining so they are hanging on the shower bar. Your flowers look so pretty.

    Have a great weekend.

  14. Hi Regina, I can't say I enjoyed much this week....we are in the middle of packing to move, but staying home certainly helped me save money. I have learned to take only a $20 bill with me;-)
    blessings, jill
