Christstollen

This week I have only baked my Christstollen,
because I feel me not well.
I have pain in my bones and back
I hope the next week will be better.






Here the recipe for you

350g raisin soaked in 1/8 litre rum
1000gram plain flour
80 gram fresh yeast
3/8 litre lukewarm milk
150 gram sugar
500 gram butter
1 pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cardamon
100 gram chopped almonds
100 gram diced citron

baking paper for baking tray
100gramm butter for brushing the stollen
confectionars sugar

In a large bowl,stift together the dry ingredients.
Stir in the warm milk and melted butter
add the dissolved yeast.Knead until fairly smooth.
Add the dried fruits,almonds ,raisin to the dough
and continue kneading on a floured board for about
10 minutes.If dough is sticky,knead in more flour.
Place dough in a buttered bowl,
cover with a towl and let it rise in a warm place
for 3 hours
Punch down and cut dough into two parts
and place on a paper on the lined baking tray
let rise again 15minutes

preheat the oven to 180 °C

and than bake the stollen 60-70 minutes
after baking brush the warm stollen with butter

This is a old family recipe......I bake the stollen each year
My family and friends like the stollen very.

Husarenkrapfen

This week I have the first Christmas-Cookies
baked, they called Husarenkrapfen They are very
simple ,to make.


You need


140 gram butter
2 egg yolks
70 gram sugar
1packet vanilla sugar
170gram plain flour
red jam I use red currant for my cookies

Prepare a baking tray by lining it with baking paper

Butter,egg yolks and sugar to a creamy mass mix
Flour and vanilla sugar fold in to form a pastry
Pastry Mixture 30 minutes in frigde
On a floured surface, from the pastry into a roll around a 3 cm thick
then cut into around 20 pieces
Form each piece into a ball shape, and place on the lined baking tray
Press a small hole in the middle of each ball and fill with jam.
Bake for15- 20 minutes at 200°C

Knitting

Hello,
at the moment I am knitting on a shawl for me,
in my prefer colour red.....Red is a beautiful and
warmth colour, perfect for the dark and colder
days (month)



Here can you see my decorated lamp.

The pattern of the shawl is very simple.

The next weeks have I many to do for Christmas

on my to do list stand

bake a christstollen
bake differents christmas cookies
make gift from the kitchen(jam,jelly,chutneys etc.)
knitting gift
making a advents wreath
making cards
buying the turkey for christmas
and much more for the
Homemade Christmas.

A Walk with my Dog














Yesterday after the breakfast I walked with
my dog by fantastic November weather
through the nature reservat.We both,my dog
and I, we love this quite and peaceful place.
Here can we relax and all the stress fall up
from us.
Happy and regained we go home.
