The last harvest

Hello,
the pictures shows my last crop from my
little garden.

peppers in red and green,
green,red and yellow tomatoes
eggplants

The peppers have I frozen.

Today we have had a delicious meal with the veggies .
I made a vegetablesauce with onions,eggplants peppers
and tomatoes,salt and pepper,basil and oregano
and served with noodles a wonderful simple meal.

To my last post about dried carrots....i use the carrots in soup!

  11. Beautiful peppers - mine were lacklustre this year... perhaps a lack of water was the problem... I have question about drying carrots. I did not blanch mine first (oops!). I just chopped them and put them in the dehydrator - will they turn out or do they need to be blanched first? Thank you :)

  19. Nächstes Jahr muß ich unbedingt auch mal Paprika probieren, hab es ja schon mal gepflanzt, ist aber damals leider nichts geworden, unser Sommer hier in den Bergen war einfach zu kurz dazu. Vielleicht gibt es aber mittlerweile auch neue Sorten. Nur eine Frage noch: wie schmecken sie denn nach dem Einfrieren und blanchierst du sie auch vorher? Irgendwie kann ich mir das bei Paprika gar nicht so recht vorstellen.
    Und falls das jetzt klappt, kann ich endlich auch wieder kommentieren und bin glücklich darüber und wünsch dir eine schöne Zeit,
